Shimmer Films Step By Steps

1. Perform a manicure and prepare the natural nail for gel polish application, following manufacturer’s recommendations.
2. Perform your Lecenté Create gel polish service following application steps to colour coat but do not apply Top Coat.
3. Apply a thin layer of Lecenté Foil Gel and cure for 120 seconds. Do not cap the free edge with Foil Gel.
4. Cut the shimmer film into shapes and randomly place on to the cured Foil Gel.
5. Using the Lecenté T1 tool, ensure all the edges and corners are lying flat and avoiding placing the film on the edges of the nail.
6. Apply a layer of Smooth It! if required capping those edges and pieces in.
7. Apply Top Coat, making sure the nail is completely sealed once again and cure recommended cure time.
8. Wipe nail with Lecenté Finishing Wipe and a lint-free pad.

Shimmer Films Step By Steps (Advanced)

1. Perform a manicure and prepare the natural nail for gel polish application, following manufacturer’s recommendations.
2. Perform your Lecenté Create gel polish service following application steps to colour coat but do not apply Top Coat.
3. Apply a thin layer of Foil Gel and cure for 120 Seconds. Do not cap the free edge with Foil Gel.
4. Cut a piece of the shimmer film just smaller than the size of the nail plate, scrunch, open it and place it onto the cured Foil Gel. Using your Lecenté T1 tool, make sure the foil does not hit the edges as this may cause lifting.
5. Press down all the raw edges using the applicator so it sits as flat as possible on the nail.
6. Apply Smooth It! ensuring any dips are filled in and thoroughly cap the nail. Cure for 60 seconds. Refine if needed with a 180/240 file.
7. Apply Top Coat, making sure the nail is completely sealed once again and cure.
8. Wipe nail with Lecenté Finishing Wipe and a lint free pad.

If you are using Lecenté Foil Gel with another gel polish system, we recommend you fully finish your service including Top Coat before applying the Foil Gel. Remove the inhibition layer from the Top Coat and the shine using a buffer. Then you can apply Lecenté Create Foil Gel and your chosen Shimmer Film using the above steps from Step 3.
