Gemma Plumb

Gemma began working in the industry as a mobile and home-based salon in 2015. After building up her client based, she realised she wanted to expand a grow a team of artists and opened her first high street Salon “Shade.Beauty” in 2019 and soon after opened “Shade.Beauty Training Academy”.

Gemma says “Quality training has always been a priority to me when getting into the industry and after noticing major gaps in nail education being offered in my local area, I knew I wanted to make a change. From day one of offering nail courses, I have always recommended and directed students to Lecenté as this is a brand I’ve consistently used and been blown away by through my career as a nail artist. Being able to officially become part of the Lecenté team is just a dream come true and by far my greatest achievement in my nail career so far. I can’t wait to help the new generation of nail artists to grow and achieve their nail dreams”.

All classes are held at Shade.Beauty Salon & Training Academy located on Gowerton High Street. We’re a 2 minute walk away from a large, free car park, Gowerton train station is just across the road and a bus stop with links to the City Centre is right outside the salon. We’re surrounded by shops, coffee shops and bistros so plenty of places locally to get some lunch or snacks. Our relaxed and cozy classroom can hold up to 6 students and gives students a glimpse into working in a salon environment.
